Robots-as-a-Service
Software-as-a-service (SaaS) is a popular business model. But have you ever heard of Robots-as-a-Service?
That’s what a company called Macrovey is offering.
This company has created fully-autonomous robots designed to increase the speed, efficiency, and affordability of warehouse work. Customers can pay for Macrovey’s robots and software on a monthly basis.
Macrovey is a spin-off of Asbeco, which has been a leader in the market for industrial automation for forty years. Specializing in robotic systems that can autonomously stock warehouse shelves and move items, Asbeco’s list of customers includes Amazon, FedEx, and Walmart.
Though it launched just a few years ago, Macrovey has already developed three patented robots, won a 2024 Warehouse Innovation Award, and secured a contract from the U.S. Air Force.
